Busy Body Tour Recap!

After 7 months of planning, it’s hard to believe the Busy Body CD Release Tour is over! Sharing the stage and fellowship over the course of 11 days with Chris Coles (alto saxophone), Brandon Coleman (guitar), Matt Wiles (electric bass/moog synthesizer), and Lee Fish (drums) was nothing short of extraordinary. Every night was different and exploratory, and it was one of my fondest creative endeavors to date!

We performed at Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), Con Alma (PITTSBURGH), Bop Stop (CLEVELAND), Jazz Arts Group (COLUMBUS), Fulton Street Collective (CHICAGO), Prairie Moon (EVANSTON), Radio Artifact (CINCINNATI), Blu Jazz (AKRON), and Schwartz's Point (CINCINNATI). We were lucky to have had full and attentive audiences, and it was so fun to bring this music to so many people over the course of the tour! In addition to the performances we did masterclasses and clinics at Tri-C JazzFest, Jazz Arts Group, Oberlin Conservatory, and Lakota West High School.

We were lucky to have had several of the concerts recorded as well. We live streamed from the Bop Stop and Fulton Street Collective, did a full recording/video for Jazz Arts Group TV to be released in January 2023, as well as a LIVE RECORD(!) at Radio Artifact, which will be released on the Radio Artifact Record Label in 2023. From the bottom of my heart I’d like to thank Chris, Brandon, Matt, and Lee for their incredible musicianship, as well as all the people who came out to the shows in support of the music. I’d also like to thank all the venues and educational institutions for having us and presenting the music. It was a giant reunion of friends through the Midwest every night, and it meant a lot to me to be able to share in the musical space with all of you!
